The HUB4700 calibre is the successor to the legendary El Primero calibre — the first chronograph with an integrated automatic winding system (1969), and the first mechanical chronograph to operate at 5 Hz (36,000 vibrations per hour), achieving a precision of 1/10th of a second. In a perfect fusion of tradition and innovation, this fully skeletonised movement is now equipped with a silicon regulating organ that guarantees avant-garde performance, precision and reliability.
INNOVATIVE MATERIALS
From the first use of rubber in watchmaking to the development of new precious alloys such as scratch-resistant Magic Gold, and the creation of revolutionary composite materials such as ceramic and sapphire in unique colours — materials have always been at the heart of the Hublot universe. To realise its "Art of Fusion", the manufacture has its own metallurgy and materials laboratory working closely with the research and development department, as well as its own foundry. These innovative materials are developed and produced using state-of-the-art technologies unique to the watchmaking world — technologies that belong exclusively to Hublot.
